Using the platform

Creating a narration

From the editor to ESA validation, by way of the review notes.

You need to be authenticated: Log in, then Editor appears at the top.

Composing the sequence

From Editor you create a narration by giving it a title, a theme and a target duration — the visit formats are 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes.

In the canvas, the library on the left is filtered like the archive; from there the Stories enter the sequence. Once inside they can be reordered by dragging them, or with the arrows if dragging is awkward.

For each row two things can be adjusted:

  • the duration, which applies only within this narration and does not affect the Story;
  • the segue, that is the bridge to the next row. It belongs to the pair, not to the single Story: it is what the guide says while the image changes.

The pacing updates as you work, and below the library the suggestions appear: Stories close to the ones you have already added.

The validation cycle

The board says it in one line — S42 Narration must be validated by ESA — and the platform really does enforce it:

  1. S42 moves the narration to Under review.
  2. ESA reads it and leaves notes, on the narration or on the single row.
  3. ESA validates or rejects with a reason.
  4. If rejected, S42 makes corrections and sends it back for review.

Those in S42 do not see the validation button, and it is not a matter of interface: were they to call the API directly, they would receive a refusal.

The notes are internal — the Viewer does not see them — and each person edits and deletes only their own. Between two organisations that approve each other's work, being able to rewrite the other's objection would not be a convenience.
